"Hello, my name is Ruth, and I am the founder of the LuisaLina Education Centre. I was born in Homa Bay County and raised in Nairobi County. I attended Kwa Watoto Centre for primary school before moving on to St. Mathew High School. In 2015, I enrolled in Maasai Teacher's College's early childhood education programme. In 2017, I enrolled at the Kenya Institute of Special Needs Education. What drove me to open the school was the fact that many disadvantaged children are not sent to school, and some are hidden at home. Most of these children's parents are from low-income families, thus they are unable to send them to expensive special schools."
